The Research and Dissemination unit under the ARSO-CACO action program which is within and in support of the ARSO Strategic Framework Programme of 2012–2017, aims to improve the interfacing, cooperation and exchange of information between research findings and results and standardization. It is an initiative that is intended to act as information exchange coordination and dissemination forum in which African experiences can be shared through the call for papers which will later be transformed to African Journals and oral presentations in Research Conferences forums.
An important target for The Research and Dissemination program is the dissemination of knowledge and results to its various constituencies it shall focus on. Deliverables being findings which will serve as a source of information for the professionals and the academia will therefore be presented and at an Annual Research Conference, and several organized events, and publications dedicated to the interfacing process between research and standardization creating a competitive informative edge. In addition it will a sampling platform providing a solution for the greatest downside of standardization for consumers which is lack of variety and adequate market research information availability that is ultimately useful in the standardization process in all aspects reducing unnecessary waste of resources.
